@AlfaRomeoRacing & @RedBullRacing reveal 2019 liveries. #F1
After revealing their one-off liveries last week, Alfa Romeo Racing and Aston Martin Red Bull Racing have unveiled their new race liveries for the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship season and let’s start with the Alfa.
The Valentines Day inspired livery of the Alfa Romeo Racing car is no more as the Hinwil-based outfit released their C38 in red and white paying homage to Sauber.
This time the red is more present, with the halo being painted in the scarlet colour, while Alfa’s logo is more dominant on the engine cover.
Alfa Romeo Racing got off to great start in it’s shakedown in Fiorano with Kimi Raikkonen completing 33 uninterrupted laps during the team’s filming day where running is limited to 100 kilometres. The Hinwil-squad ran numerous tests including aerodynamic, setup and cooling checks for a good solid foundation for the pre-season tests which are currently underway.
After the first run, Raikkonen said the car felt good and it was a good session on track.
Raikkonen is currently behind the wheel of the Ferrari-powered C38 today while team-mate Antonio Giovinazzi who will be racing in his first full Formula One season, will take over driving duties tomorrow.
Red Bull Racing reveal proper 2019 race livery
After seeing a one-off livery in their shakedown last week at Silverstone, Aston Martin Red Bull Racing have released their proper race paint on their RB15 racer.
Ahead of pre-season testing, which is currently in full swing at the Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya, the Milton Keynes-based outfit showed off their signature Red Bull dark blue and fluro orange that will feature on both Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly’s cars.
Verstappen had his first run in the Honda-powered RB15 last Wednesday in Silverstone and was impressed with the Honda power-unit.
“It felt good and we had no problems, so I’m very happy with that,” explained Verstappen. “Now we can go testing properly. We’ll see what we can get out of that and we’ll be able to understand the car and the engine a bit better.”
Team-mate Gasly however, has yet to have his first taste of the Red Bull, but the Frenchman has spent the last season driving a Honda-powered Toro Rosso STR13 before being promoted to partner Verstappen.
This week should give us the first indication on how well Red Bull and Honda will go together in their new partnership.
