@AlphaTauriF1 unveil their 2022 contender, the #AT03. #F1

Scuderia AlphaTauri have unveiled their 2022 contender, the AT03 in an innovative digital launch, which merged the virtual and real worlds in a pioneering video, to kick off it’s 2022 campaign in style.

The Faenza-based outfit, in collaboration with Red Bull’s premium fashion band AlphaTauri, has created a first of it’s kind launch video by combining a 3D CGI rendering of their AT03 with real footage of AlphaTauri’s Spring/Summer 2022 collection runway show, highlighting the connection of innovation, style and technology, the gels the two companies together.

The real AT03 will make it’s official first appearance at the Circuit De Barcelona-Catalunya next week in Formula 1’s pre-season test, but in the meantime the innovative video told the story of the synergies between fashion and motorsport through three main pillars.

It began with the Monolith in the CGI world, representing the team’s technology, state-of-the-art facilities and expertise of the people who produced the car.

The elements then moved to the second pillar, the Portal – which signified AlphaTauri and it’s technology – that dressed the AT03, drivers and models, as they moved into the real world, the world of AlphaTauri.

This final pillar demonstrated the product of the partnership, where the “Style of a New Era” materialised across both fashion and Formula 1.

AlphaTauri scored it’s highest amount of points in a season to date in 2021, 142 points and sixth place in the World Constructor’s Championship standings.

The Faenza-based squad embraced the new raft of technical regulations with the AT03, sporting an updated blue and white livery.

AlphaTauri retained the competitive duo of Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda for the upcoming campaign.

Gasly looking ahead to the season explained:

“This year sees a huge change to the car as, due to the new regulations, the look and design is completely different, so the team has had to start from a clean sheet of paper. We won’t know the true performance of the AT03 until we get it out on track at pre-season testing in Barcelona but so far, I think it looks great and I am very excited to get this new season started!” Gasly concluded. Tsunoda added:

Scuderia AlphaTauri Team Principal Franz Tost speaking on the AT03 and the new era of regulations said:

Gasly and Tsunoda will pilot their new AT03 racer for the first time in Formula 1’s pre-season test in Barcelona next week from Wednesday February 23-Friday February 25.
