Red Bull Releases Horner – Oracle Red Bull Racing CEO and Team Principal Christian Horner is to leave the team with immediate effect, with Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Team Boss Laurent Mekies to step in, it was announced today.

The Briton has held the role for 20 years – taking the reigns of the Milton Keynes based-outfit through their first season in 2005 and playing a significant role in turning them from points scorers to having overseen two periods of dominance by Red Bull Racing in the sport, with Sebastian Vettel and the team winning four consecutive drivers’ and constructors’ championships from 2010-2013 in the 2.4L V8 Era and Max Verstappen winning the last four drivers’ championships from 2021-2024 in the current 1.6L V6 Turbocharged Hybrid Era. Red Bull were also World Constructors’ Champions in 2022 and 2023.
As part of the management shuffle, current Visa Cap App Racing Bulls Racing Director Alan Permane will be promoted to Team Principal at the Faenza based-squad following Mekies’ promotion to the senior team.

It’s an honour to be part of this group of brilliant people that embody the Red Bull spirit. Together we will achieve great results, building on the incredible legacy left by Christian Horner during his two decades in charge.”
