After a long-busy winter, all ten F1 teams will push their new cars to the limits today at the Bahrain International Circuit as the track host’s pre-season testing over three days.

The days running begins 10am local time (5:30pm Adelaide time) running for four hours before an hour break, and then the lights go green again until 7pm (2:30am Adelaide time) each day. The final hour will be used to replicate the conditions of the season-opening Bahrain Grand Prix under the bright lights.

Several teams have opted to split the days between their respective drivers, whilst the others have allocated a full day of running before dividing the duties on the final day.

Out of all the ten outfits, Williams Racing are the only one that will allow it’s test driver, Roy Nissany to have a day’s worth of track time over the course of the three sessions.

Only three teams, world champions Mercedes, Alfa Romeo Racing and Williams Racing – maintain a stable driver pairing for the 2021 campaign, with the remaining seven refreshing their line-ups.

With only three days running this year, compared to a huge six, spread over two weeks last year and 2019, which was down from eight in previous years, teams will want a trouble-free three days, wracking up as much mileage as possible at the Bahrain International Circuit ahead of the upcoming season-opening Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2021 from March 26-28.
