@RedBullRacing release their 2021 contender, the #RB16B. #F1
Red Bull Racing have unveiled their 2021 challenger, the Honda-powered RB16B set to be piloted by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.
The new car will look to go another step forward following it’s two Grand Prix victories – set by it’s predecessor the RB16 – with the Milton Keynes-based squad hoping that the RB16B, in the hands of Verstappen and Perez, will return the team back to title success this season for the first time since 2013.
The RB16B also sees what will be a farewell of Honda in Formula 1, with Red Bull set to continue running the Japanese manufacturer’s power-trains from 2022 onwards – with the process assisted by the engine freeze recently agreed amongst the teams, and will last until the end of the 2024 campaign.
The unveiling of the RB16B comes ahead of it’s first on-track appearance tomorrow when Verstappen and Perez will put it through it’s paces in an official filming day at Silverstone.
Reserve Alexander Albon will also be driving the RB15 during the filming day along with sifting through the feedback on the RB16B provided by Perez and Verstappen.
The RB16 will then be driven in anger at Formula 1’s pre-season test at the Bahrain International Circuit from March 12-14, two weeks before the season-opening Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2021 from March 26-28.
