The Grove-based squad also announced their new major sponsors in Gulf Oil, Stephens, Michelob ULTRA and PureStream.

The 2023 livery design is an evolution of it’s predecessor, the FW44, retaining the brand’s visual cues, which features a contrasting diamond shape and flashes of red and blue, embodying the exciting new era of Williams.

This year’s design also sees an eye-catching matte finish to provide a strong on-track visual.

The Mercedes-powered FW45, which will be unleashed from February 13, is an evolution of last year’s FW44. The floor’s edges have been raised to meet the updated 2023 FIA Technical Regulations and the Grove-based outfit have taken the opportunity to heavily advance its sidepod concept, which has been made possible by optimising its power-train cooling layout.

There are also modifications made to the front suspension layout along with the major external aerodynamic surfaces.

Therefore, the FW45 is more aerodynamically efficient than the FW44 predecessor, with more downforce and improved handling characteristics.

The 2023 Pirelli tyres are an evolution of last year’s spec and the FW45 is optimised to the improved characteristics of the compounds.

Alexander Albon looking ahead of the 2023 campaign explained:

“I’m really excited to be starting back for another year with the team. The car looks great and will hit the track at Silverstone. The team has worked really hard last year and over the winter to address some key areas in our car, putting in the work to try and maximise what we get out of the car for 2023, so I’m looking forward to seeing what the FW45 can do. We also welcome new partners to the team this year, so it’s great to have them onboard.” Albon concluded. Credit to Williams for the quote.

Newly promoted Logan Sargeant, excited about his rookie season in Formula One added:

“I’m really excited for the season to get started after what, for me, feels like a long winter. I’m super motivated and we’ve put a lot of hard work in. The car is looking amazing, and it shows the huge effort the team has put in the off season, so I’m looking forward to getting started at Silverstone before heading out to Bahrain.” Sargeant concluded. Gulf Oil International’s partnership with the Grove-based squad is a major signing as the famous F1 team continues its transformative journey and shows a new era of commercial strength at Williams since its acquisition by Dorilton Capital.

Another major partnership deal was struck with is Stephens, as Official Investment Banker, an independent financial services firm established in 1993, with offices in the United States, London and Frankfurt.

Williams Racing and Stephens will partner in a strategic marketing alliance as Stephens’ increases its presence in Europe.

Michelob ULTRA, an American Beer company, one of the fastest growing brands in the US, joins the historic F1 outfit in a multi-year alliance, which unites both icons with a long history of excellence and recognition.

As part of the Anheuser-Busch group, Michelob ULTRA reunites the leading brewery with WIlliams Racing and the sport for the first time since 2006.

Through this deal, Michelob ULTRA and WIlliams Racing will bring premium experiences for fans to enjoy at Grands Prix throughout the US.

Williams Racing and PureStream have joined forces to exchange best practices between electronic trading teams and Formula One.

Both electronic trading and motorsport rely on many functionally-organised teams working together with new technology, balancing precise measurements and subjective strategies to win under ultra-competitive and split-second situations.

PureStream will co-host events at select Grands Prix throughout the 2023 FIA Formula One World Championship season to enable exchanging of ideas between Williams Racing and leading electronic trading teams.

As the Grove-based squad continues its transitional phase, it welcomes James Vowles joining from Mercedes as Team Principal.

Vowles starts on February 20, bringing valuable experience and strategic capabilities, which will lead the team and help push Williams both on and off the track.

Williams Racing Chairman of the Board, Matthew Savage, stated:

“We are excited about this year’s car, and I cannot thank the entire team at Grove enough for their hard work to get ready for the season. I am delighted to welcome both new and existing partners to our journey. With our new Team Principal James Vowles joining us later this month, as well as our exciting driver line up of Alex and Logan, Williams Racing will be giving its all in 2023.” Savage concluded.
