Verstappen Singapore GP FP3 – Red Bull’s Max Verstappen topped the final practice session at the Singapore GP ahead of McLaren’s Oscar Piastri and Mercedes duo George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli who were second, third and fourth respectively. Lando Norris was fifth the other MCL39 entry as the top five were all covered by 0.090 seconds.

Verstappen set the session-topping benchmark on the C5 red-marked softer compounds with a 1:30.148 and was a slim 0.017 seconds clear of Piastri whilst Russell was a further 0.049 seconds off the Dutchman in third.
MoneyGram Haas F1 Team’s Oliver Bearman was the first to venture out onto the Marina Bay Street Circuit on the C4 yellow-branded medium rubber.
Esteban Ocon in the other VF-25 entry, Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda, Alpine’s Franco Colapinto, RB’s Liam Lawson and Sauber’s Gabriel Bortoleto all followed the Briton out also on the C4 mediums.
Bearman set the opening benchmark of a 1:33.986, as Ocon slotted into second with his 1:34.257.
Tsunoda then shot to the top posting a 1:33.743 whilst Colapinto ended up 1.457 adrift in fourth.
Lawson then jumped to P1 setting a 1:33.628 to end up 0.115 seconds clear of Tsunoda.
Norris with two purples moved into P1 with a 1:32.379 second effort and in-front of Piastri’s 1:32.554 with a purple middle sector to be 0.175 seconds off his team-mate at the seventh-minute mark of proceedings.
RB’s Isack Hadjar with three personal bests ended up 0.471 seconds off Norris’s best effort on his first run on the C4’s.
Bearman returned to third with a 1:32.778 flyer at the eighth-minute mark.
Tsunoda on his next flying tour slotted back into third with a purple sector three to be 0.388 seconds adrift of Norris.
Williams’ Carlos Sainz was the first driver on the C5 softer compound in the session and with three purples went fastest on a 1:31.960 to be 0.419 seconds ahead of Norris as replays showed the McLaren driver in the way of the Spaniard on his hot-lap.
At the 12th minute mark, Alexander Albon slotted into second behind team-mate Sainz to be 0.357 seconds adrift.
Norris on his next flying lap with three purples reclaimed top spot with a 1:31.021 to be a huge 0.939 seconds clear of Sainz on the medium compound.
Hadjar came up next on his flyer and with three personal bests ended up 1.043 seconds off Norris’s best effort as the session reached the opening quarter of the hour-long session.
RB’s Lawson like yesterday brought out a red flag for the second time of the weekend with 45 minutes left on the clock.
Replays showed the Kiwi went a little wide on the corner exit, went up onto the kerbs, the rear stepped out, he over-corrected and hit the wall with both the front and rear damaging the front wing and suspension.
After a ten-minute delay for the stoppage after Lawson’s VCARB02 and the debris was cleared, the Kiwi’s team-mate Hadjar lead the pack out on the C5 softer tyres.
The Frenchman remained in fourth briefly as Bearman and Mercedes’ George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli relegated Hadjar down to seventh.
Albon on his hot-lap on the softs moved to second with his 1:31.173 as Verstappen planted his RB21 racer fourth with his tour on the C4 mediums to end up 0.505 seconds off Norris’s best effort.
Ferrari’s Sir Lewis Hamilton with three personal bests on the C4’s jumped to fourth demoting Verstappen to be 0.427 seconds adrift of Norris as the session past the halfway point.
Hadjar was next on his next on the C4’s as the Frenchman moved up into fifth to be 0.491 seconds off Norris whilst Russell with his next tour on the C5’s split Verstappen and Bearman to go seventh on his 1:31.663 effort.
Antonelli on his next flying lap on the softs hit a 1:30.760 to go 0.261 seconds faster than Norris at the head of the time-sheets.
The drivers were circulating the Marina Bay Street Circuit on higher fuel runs as Ferrari’s Hamilton was noted for a red flag infringement.
Ocon with three personal bests on the medium compounds moved to tenth on a 1:31.950 to wound up 1.190 off Antonelli’s best effort.
Verstappen improved to fifth on a 1:31.358 as Russell with a purple opening sector and to personal bests jumped to fourth with his 1:31.238 as replays showed Albon suffered a lock-up into the turn 16 run-off area.
Albon before that lock-up put his FW47 entry up into third to end up 0.413 seconds off Antonelli.
After a few minutes lull of inactivity as the drivers adjusted their setups and bolt on a set of soft tyres for their qualifying simulation stints, Ferrari’s Leclerc emerged first on the C5’s.
The Monegasque driver pushed his Ferrari to the top with a 1:30.651 with three personal bests to end up 0.109 seconds in-front of Antonelli.
Hadj followed on the C5’s as the RB driver set a 1:30.679 and a purple final sector to go second whilst with two purples in sectors one and three Norris clinched P1 with a 1:30.292.
Piastri with three personal bests slotted into second to be 0.335 seconds off his team-mate Norris briefly as Hamilton jumped to P2 with his 1:30.559.
Verstappen was next with two purple final sectors to take top spot with a 1:30.148 to go fastest and 0.144 clear of Norris.
Russell with three personal bests jumped to second to be a slim 0.049 seconds off Verstappen’s best time.
Antonelli put his Silver Arrow into fourth setting a 1:30.370 to end up 0.222 seconds adrift of Verstappen as Sainz slotted into fifth.
Alonso was next on his hot-lap putting his AMR25 14th with his 1:30.923 effort on the softer tyre with seven minutes remaining.
Albon put his Williams tenth with his 1:30.668 effort after two personal best in sectors one and two.
Hadjar with three personal bests put his VCARB02 on older softs managed to jump to sixth to be 0.341 seconds off Verstappen’s best time.
Antonelli was next on his flying tour and the Mercedes driver with a purple middle sector jumped to third behind his team-mate Russell in third with his 1:30.237.
Piastri on his final flyer with a purple middle sector jumped to second to end up a very narrow 0.017 seconds off Verstappen’s time right at the end of the session.
The two Mercedes of Russell and Antonelli were third and fourth respectively.
McLaren’s Norris followed in fifth and ahead of Sainz who took sixth and Hadjar who placed seventh for Racing Bulls.
Hamilton who is under investigation by the stewards for his red flag infringement ended FP3 eighth for Ferrari as Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg and Leclerc in the other SF-25 entry rounded out the top ten.
