Visa Cash App RB VCARB01 launch – Visa Cash App RB Formula One Team unleashed their 2024 contender, the VCARB 01 – at a glitzy launch event in Las Vegas.

It has been all change at the Faenza based-outfit for the 2024 campaign, after they brought an end to the AlphaTauri era following the conclusion of last season, and that change included the livery.

Whilst AlphaTauri showcased dark blue and white, the new, Honda-RBPT powered VCARB 01 sports a sparkling blue and white livery as it’s new colours – bringing back memories of the designs seen when the team was known as Scuderia Toro Rosso.

Present at the launch event were Visa Cash App RB’s CEO Peter Bayer and Team Principal Laurent Mekies who joined the team from Ferrari, and the drivers who will pilot the VCARB 01 in the 2024 FIA Formula One World Championship season, eight-time Grand Prix winner Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda. Alongside the duo was Amna Al-Qubaisi, the Emirati who will be carrying the Visa Cash App RB colours in this year’s F1 Academy Championship.

The launch also featured entertainment from singer-songwriter Kendrick Lamar and multi-award winning rapper and record producer, Baby Keem.

The team are moving their UK base in Bicester to senior team Red Bull’s town Milton Keynes and expanding the operation there alongside their main headquarters in Faenza, Italy.

There’s also been a raft of changes at the Faenza based-squad this season, with three experienced technical and trackside personnel arriving recently.

One is Alan Permane – who left BWT Alpine F1 Team as their Sporting Director halfway through last season – and takes up the role at Racing Director. Tim Goss also takes the Chief Technical Officer role in October, whilst Guillarme Cattelani joined the squad as Deputy Technical Director, reporting to Technical Director Jody Eddington.

Ricciardo and Tsunoda will be pushing for a more successful campaign, with AlphaTauri finishing eighth in the World Constructor’s Championship standings last year. Ricciardo particularly will want a better season, having started 2023 away from the Formula 1 grid before his dramatic return was halted from a broken hand in Zandvoort.
